Rasheed Atones

A lot of the media slammed Rasheed Wallace for leaving Horry at the end of Game 5. Bill Simmons from ESPN wrote "Let the record show that Wallace's decision to leave a scorching-hot Horry to double-team Ginobili was the single dumbest play in the history of the NBA Finals."

Rasheed took full responsibility for the botched play, and made sure to atone for it in Game 6. Even though he was foul plagued during most of the game, he was clutch in the last two minutes. He hit a three, had a putback of Billups' miss, and played solid defense on Duncan. Simply put, he sealed the win. Not as dramatically as Horry's 3 pointer, but just as effectively.

Personally I have been impressed with the Pistons methodical execution. The Spurs were the ones who looked rattled in the fourth quarter, forcing shots outside of their normal offense. I'm sticking with my pick of Pistons in 7. In any case, we NBA fans have a competitive, exciting Finals for the first time in years!
