As a Laker fan I'm not quite sure what to make of Phil Jackson's return as coach. He said a lot of negative things about Kobe in his book. The Lakers aren't likely to trade Kobe, and they are capped out with their current roster. So clearly he's agreed to coach the star he called "uncoachable". If he can turn this team into a copy of his Bulls squad of the 90s with Kobe striving to be like Mike, Odom doing his best Pippen imitation playing point-forward, and Mihm being a better Will Purdue, I think we could see a playoff berth. But to really contend, the front office will have to make some trades. It'll be interesting to watch unfold. If nothing else, it's got the fans talking and feeling a bit hopeful.
